I should be cross but you hung in there and came with a better pun about this thorny issue.

On the subject of the markets that you attend, can I maybe suggest you set up a spreadsheet to track costs, sales, profit after sales and notes?
It’s easy to misremember markets as more profitable than they were. You might recall strong sales while overlooking high costs (travel, table fees, etc.) and low margins, leaving little or no real profit.
Aside from the cost and profit columns, you can have columns for notes – things to remember for next time, what sold well and what didn’t, issues, non-tangible elements such as “Good for marketing” etc.
Only a thought.

Jesus enjoyed the market so much, he got wood.
Nailed it.
