From the Archive [2010-2018] – Babby’s first Burnout (bonus comic/pics in the post)

It’s almost nostalgic to look back at this comic! This was my first actual burnout. I had quit my job to do comics and art full-time while my longterm relationship crumbled and other personal things kept going ~wrong~. This was the Jenspiration that followed:

So in ~2014 I broke up with my fiance, moved out into my own one room basement flat where I had to start basically from scratch (at the age of ~30?). Bless my friends who helped me move and got me settled! I love the fact that we even made my furniture out of cardboard boxes and had fun with it, because I genuinely was left with pretty much nothing. My parents wanted me to move back to Sweden during this time, but I was being stubborn and wanted to stay in the UK.

You know what the funny thing is though? This was my first experience living completely on my own and I also spent that Christmas alone with my budgie Ruffles in that basement flat. AND IT WAS AMAZING. I *loved* it.
