From the Archive [2010-2018] – Want to bet on a horse?

I had completely forgot about this interaction until I dug through the archives, and.. Oh boy! It’s a younger Jen at the part time job, pre-ADHD diagnosis (so about to experience some post-yap-regret) and pre being Vegan. Honestly going vegan has just been a slow natural path for me since I was a kid who loved animals.

But yes, in case you’re not Swedish and you think that last panel is a joke. It ain’t. You can buy horse meat in Sweden. When I told some UK friends about that, they were horrified. To me, it was normal because I grew up with it.

Anyway! I don’t think the middle-manager person really liked me after this interaction. My main boss always allowed me to work on comics when it was quiet in the shop, but my manager wouldn’t. I had to hide my drawings from her.
