From the Archive [2010-2018] – Uni guest lecturer: Paul Gravett

So I think this was technically even before 2010, this might’ve been in like 2008? I was still at university, doing a degree in illustration (there was no comic book focused degree close to me back then). Wild to think about how long ago that was – yikes.

We’d have guest lecturers come in now and then, and one of them happened to be Paul Gravett who did a whole talk about comics and graphic novels. After the talk you could get an optional one-on-one chat with him if you wanted to, which I of course did! It was super helpful and it was thanks to his encouragement that I dared to go to my first comic con as a punter in Bristol.
